My Story

My Passion:

Ki Ora, I am Jann, and see myself as an experienced and innovative celebrant, with a wonderful sense of humour, full of creative ideas, and a myriad of resources on hand. Every bespoke wedding ceremony I write is based on a series of interviews we will have, the questionnaires that I ask you to complete, and the follow-up research I undertake. I also love to officiate at elopements, registry weddings, same-sex marriages, naming ceremonies, funerals, and other celebrant duties.

Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony, an elopement, or a wedding with a cast of hundreds, I can help make your ceremony extra special and something you, your partner, and your guests will remember forever.

My History:

For a number of years, along with my husband Trevor, I have lived and worked at the magical spot of Te Mahia Bay Resort in the Kenepuru Sound, Marlborough. As well as hosting beautiful weddings here at the Resort, I am also happy to travel all over Marlborough for my other Celebrant duties.

My Profession:

I am proud to be a registered member of the professional organization Celebrants Aotearoa NZ (CANZ). I also have achieved the VCANZ status (Validated CANZ Member) qualifying me to officiate Registry Weddings through Births, Deaths, and Marriages. I gained my Diploma in Celebrant Studies with the Celebrant Training College in 2020.

My Other Life:

My personal interests include skiing in the winter months with my family, sailing, and boating activities, gardening, world travel pre-Covid, and being a fourth-time designer finalist for the internationally acclaimed World of Wearable Arts (WOW). More recently I have a new and very much-loved role of ‘Nanny Janny’ to my three beautiful granddaughters and one grandson.

My passion is to work with you and your partner to create bespoke ceremonies that are truly meaningful, involving you every step of the way.
