• Weddings/ Same Sex Marriages

    A wedding ceremony should be designed around you and your partner’s personalities and the content individualized to reflect this. The reason I love my celebrant work is that each ceremony I write is unique to you as a couple and no two ceremonies are ever the same. Capturing your love story and weaving it into your ceremony can be so special- it’s what I love to do!

    Through support, advice, feedback, inspiration, and meaningful discussions with you both, I will ensure that your ceremony flows seemingly effortlessly and captures the true essence of your relationship.

    The celebrant fee is $650

    Additional travel expenses may be charged if traveling outside my region.

  • Registry Marriages

    As a Validated Member of the Celebrants’ Aotearoa New Zealand (VCANZ), I have been appointed by the Department of Births, Deaths, and Marriages (BDM) to officiate Registry Marriages. These have a set script provided by BDM, the couple must provide two witnesses, a maximum number of 20 guests, and the ceremony must be conducted on a weekday during business hours and not on a public holiday. The celebrant fee is $90.

  • Elopements/ Simplicity Style Ceremonies

    Elopement

    Planning to elope for that secret wedding- the team at Te Mahia can certainly assist with all the planning and arrangements, including providing the two witnesses, photography, flowers, and stunning accommodation.

    Simplicity Style Ceremony

    Or perhaps you would like a simple ceremony, where you have the option of selecting from a choice of three prewritten scripts, these are offered during weekdays or out of the busy wedding season. These ceremonies start out at $395 and do have certain conditions which may apply.

    Feel free to contact me to see how I can assist.

  • Funeral, Memorial, Cremation and Celebration of Life Services

    When someone close to us dies, life can change drastically, at a time of immense grief you and your family will need to make decisions on the most appropriate way to say your final farewells. A funeral service provides a time and a space to grieve, to honour, celebrate and support each other at this very sad time of grief.

    As a warm, caring Funeral Celebrant, I have strong empathy for working with families who are coming to terms with the death of their loved ones. There are so many special tributes that can be incorporated into today’s services that give special meaning to the ceremony. I am available to meet with you either at your home or at a place of your choosing. I will listen to what you would like to take place, hear your wonderful stories, embrace your ideas, and give you suggestions if needed. It is very important that I consult with you throughout this whole process and work hand in hand with the Funeral Director.

    Your chosen Funeral Director will make contact with the Funeral Celebrant. However, you are very welcome to contact me directly, as it would be an honour to support you and your whanau for your loved one’s final farewell.

    Someone I love has died today

    And life is not the same

    The greatest gift that you can give

    Is just to speak their name

    I need to hear their stories

    And the tales of days gone past

    I need for you to understand

    These memories must last

    We cannot make more memories

    Since they are no longer here

    So when you speak of them to me

    It’s music to my ear

  • Naming Ceremonies

    Welcoming your newborn into this world is a most awesome occasion and you can choose to hold a lovely naming ceremony to celebrate this milestone. As a ‘Nanny Janny’ to my four gorgeous grandchildren, I just love creating and delivering these beautiful ceremonies.

    Walk a little slower, Daddy

    Said a little child so small.

    I'm following in your footsteps

    And I don't want to fall.

    Sometimes your steps are very fast,

    Sometimes they are hard to see;

    So, walk a little slower, Daddy

    For you are leading me.

    Someday when I'm all grown up

    You are what I want to be;

    Then I will have a little child

    Who will want to follow me

    And I would want to lead just right,

    And know that I was true;

    So walk a little slower, Daddy,

    For I must follow you.
